Basketball performance training

Basketball is a repeat-jump, first-step, and deceleration sport, and it punishes ankles and knees. This is online strength and conditioning built for exactly those demands, programmed and tested by a Doctor of Physical Therapy and CSCS.

Basketball is a power and durability sport

The game is decided in short, violent moments: a first step past a defender, a second and third jump for the rebound, a hard stop and change of direction. It also loads the same joints thousands of times a season, which is why ankles and knees break down. Generic lifting does not prepare you for any of that. Sport-specific programming does.

What we build for basketball

Vertical and jump power

Countermovement and reactive jump work to raise your vertical and, just as important, your second and third jump when it counts under the rim.

First-step speed

Acceleration and force production so you get past your defender in the first two steps, where the game is actually won.

Deceleration and change of direction

The ability to stop and cut hard and repeatedly, which is where speed becomes usable and where most non-contact knee injuries happen.

Durability under a long season

Ankle and knee resilience and smart load management so you are still explosive in March, not broken down by January.

Tested, so you can see it working

Every block is bookended with objective jump testing. Your countermovement jump and reactive strength index show exactly what the training changed and set the next target, so your vertical and explosiveness are numbers you watch climb, not a hope. It is the same testing standard used with college athletes, run wherever you train.

Questions, answered

How do I jump higher for basketball?

By training the specific qualities that produce a jump, force and reactive strength, and measuring them. A tested program that targets countermovement and reactive jumping raises both your vertical and your repeat-jump ability, which matters more in a game.

Do you train youth and high school basketball players?

Yes. Youth, high school, and college basketball athletes are a core part of the roster, with programming scaled to training age and built around the season.

Can I do basketball performance training online?

Yes. Programming, video technique review, jump testing protocols, and a direct line to your coach run through the app, so you can train anywhere and still be coached.

How do you keep basketball players from getting hurt?

By building deceleration and change-of-direction strength, ankle and knee resilience, and managing training load across a long season, all read by a Doctor of Physical Therapy who understands the injuries the sport causes.
